Nothing motivates better than inspiration.
Are you getting the most out of your employees? Do they show up? Do they represent your company in the very best light? Do they take care of your customers as if they were their own? Do they provide the best services? If you have answered no to any of these questions, then perhaps what is missing is Inspiration.
Nothing motivates an employee better than the following:
1) To be valued
2) To be included
3) To be heard
4) To feel powerful
5) To feel safe
6) To be successful
These are basic and primal needs everyone has regardless of their age, gender, or position in life. These are instinctual and vital energies we all need, want and require in order to perform at our peak. When we feel valued, included, heard, safe, powerful and successful, we feel Inspired. And nothing motivates someone better or more effectively than Inspiration.
Are you an Inspiring and Motivating force for your employees? They can be your greatest asset, and so, do you treat them as if they are? As a Leader...this is all you need to be aware of and initiate to get everyone on the same page...that you are on. Yes, manipulation, power, intimidation and reverse psychology works too...but why put everyone into a negative and toxic energy where stress takes its toll in sick days, sad faces and a quick turnover in staff?
We can all avoid the pitfalls and the expenses of always training and retraining because employees either get bored or frustrated and quit. In today's economy we're not always aware or concerned with this kind of dynamic because emplyees are hanging on to their jobs for dear life! One day, however, when the climate is better and jobs are once again available, will your employees value their jobs and stick with you, or will they be frustrated and stressed and looking for work elsewhere?
I have seen and worked in industries using the hierarchical model and the Inspiration model, and believe me, nothing motivates someone better than Inspiration.
The next article will be about how to inspire others. Join me, follow me and learn the best motivational dynamics known to humankind.
